News echoes from television screens and radio stations. Each week our minds are flooded by the drama of news. Every week we should take the opportunity to reflect on our successes and to reserve a piece of our headspace for ourselves. Here are the highlights from this week on the minimum man:
Travelling on a budget can teach us more about ourselves, push us outside of our comfort zones, and encourage us to stay in spaces which we might have otherwise never got the chance to see. Budgeting, even when not essential for our finances, is a good way to amend our usual plans and to expand our field of travel experience.
Resentment can feel like a form of power. A little secret shred of bitterness which we keep and hold over those who have wronged us. We hold onto resentment as though it is benefitting us, when in reality it confines us to a mindset which holds us back and burdens us. Only when we let go, can we truly step into that power.
Passion is a word too often used, and an emotion too rarely felt. We constantly convert our concept of passion, throwing the word around without a care for it’s true meaning. If we start to follow our passion, in a way which is not solely about economic value, we might find a way to reach joy in the present moment.
